Final

Today I have been very thoughtful of how much we have done this semester.
How many challenges, how many hours putted in to each of my classes and in special on my IS101 class.
How many content and how many new things I have learned.
There were many times where I thought I would not be able to successfully finish it.
But I am very happy and grateful for all the people I met, and for the amazing professors I had.

I have met people with all different lives, goals and challenges but each of them worked their best to manage time, and life to acomplish all the assignments and studies.

All of that, because we had a great master who pushed our limits, who taught us how to be more accurate and efficient in our tasks and produce a product of quality to make the difference, to make it with impact. A profesional that moved above and beyond to support and atend each of us in our crazy times to work on the overload of assignments with great motivation and support.  An example not a ruller setter. An educator not just a cash hunter professional.

From all of this reflection I associate our lives as a TETRIS game. We can't chose the next piece to fit our space, but we can choose that best fit with whatever we've got.

All the challenges in life is just like an infinit puzzle where we got to think and match pieces together, and produce the best picture.

I am very proud of each of my classmates to fight until the end and succeed. I am proud of myself for not given up in so many times I had crazy blocks messing my space.
I am very happy for all the overcome, new knowledge, new people, new life examples and new challenges to come.

Ps.: Lets make a get together celebration outdoors. What about a Picinic at the park or a hiking at the Red Rock?

Next

A few days to complete this semester
We all have been working so hard
so many times it seemed to be impossible
but a few days from the end.... no matter how
WE MADE IT!

And now, are we happy? Yes (in a side)
and NO in the other side.
Happy to overcome one more semester
Excited for a summer break
But What is NEXT?

Next are new challenges
new mountains to climb
new obstacles to pass
new "impossibles" to make possible

There will always be new NEXTs in life
in each and everything
That's the human nature: Overcome challenges,
explore and search for new ways to re-create.

keeping on track, small steps, but never stop

Here I am excited, I got a hero that saved my night, Thank you Rich.
So good to receive good actions when needed and from an unexpected source.

Got in class right on time before the exam starts and realized I had forgotten my Voucher code, this great heart had saved my night. The best of all, I think he also gave me the voucher with great Luck!!

I can't believe I passed the IC3 for the first time, and its also a great achievement in so long after so many failures on the past quizzes and IC3 exam.

I consider this great action with good luck, the REDBUL I was so in need!

3 weeks to go, only 3 more weeks

We are working hard, everyday overcoming challenges and obstacles.
Running towards the last weeks of the school semester it seems almost impossible...
Too many quizzes, exams, projects, readings and readings for 5 classes and very little time.

But I wanna keep the hope even its not perfect and the best ending product I know I could produce...
I can't give up, I must keep on track , I need to succeed, I want to make until the ending line of this race!

Challenging but It can't be impossible!

We came so far, we can do it!!!

A day before tomorrow

A day before tomorrow I said I would do it, I say I wanted it, I tried.
A day before tomorrow I had illusions, I had dreams, I had plans.
But what for tomorrow if today isn't even under control?

Tomorrow I dreamed a beautiful dream.
Today I lived tomorrow.
Yesterday I carry today.

But the time has no other chance.
And today is already yesterday.

Yet, today is the present I should have lived and not just dreamed or lost.
But time is still running, so should I leave and live it before it's gone.

New places

Today, talking to a new friend I discovered there are so many cool places to visit around Las Vegas that it inspired me to go beyond the ideas I had.
I just learned that there are about 3 hot springs on Lake Mead, 2 inactive old Volcanos within 1-hour distance from here and one of those Volcanos one can actually walk in the lava tube trail....

I definitely want to learn more about all those interesting places and go out to explore as much as I can. (or as much as I find time out of work and school)

Arizona - 1 Sedona

Arizona has a collection of beauty in nature that are no words to describe the feeling to each of those places. My first share about Arizona is the city of Sedona.
The city is located about 3,5 hour south of Las Vegas,NV and 2,5 hours north of Phoenix,AZ.
Sedona is most famous for the bright red Rocky Mountains formations, but it is much more than that, it is full of history, art, romance and hundreds of trails.

It is also close to Grand Canyon which makes a great road trip route to take. Follow bellow some tease...

Friday

Today it was one of "Those days" where you struggle all day.... too much for this friday... but I am excited to finally get some rest this week to be up for more work and study!

Overall, "Those days" are saved from people that supports and care about us.

Lets get over it! Tomorrow is a new day to be happy!

Valley of Fire

Valley of Fire is located about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas, it is a state park full of trails and beauty. The landscape presented today is the result of sandstone and sand dunes erosion from 150 million years ago. It was also place for many movie scenes, such as, Star Treck: Generations, Total Recall and The Professionals. 

It is important to check the temperature on summer and be prepared for high temperatures. Hiking is always fun, but is fundamental to be prepared and safe. Always remember to pack enough water, snacks (nuts, fruits, protein), and have a spare jacket/clothes in case of emergency or getting lost. Although the high temperatures during the day time, at night it can get very cold.

As a nature lover I decided to have my birthday at this beautiful place. I met a couple of friends for a night camp at the park, followed by a day exploration. It was relaxing, fun and very energizing, I totally recommend it.

I hope this motivates you to go out and explore the beauty outside the crazy Las Vegas city...

Horseshoe Bend - AZ

Horseshoe Bend is a horse shaped meander of the Colorado River, near the town of  Page, Arizona.
Located about 276 miles from Las Vegas on North  Arizona. It is a great trip for nature lovers, specially on a sunset view.

I personally chose to drive by, on my way from Zion Canyon to Phoenix in Arizona. I know it sounds like a very long drive, but the nature wonders along the way are definitely worthed it.

Stress

Yes, everyday is a new challenge and some days are not so easy. Today I just felt bad at myself for putting too much effort and not getting results.
But yes I know, today wasn't the best and I got to learn from it and work even harder!
I hope I get all the strength I need to overcome.

The Narrows - Zion National Park

Here I am finally posting some pics.Hopefully,it will come out ok!
My first time to Zion Canyon - Utah was amazing but very short, just enough to take 2 hours hiking in the Narrows trail.
The Narrows trail is one of the most famous trails of the Zion National Park, with walls a thousand feet tall and the river sometimes just twenty to thirty feet wide, is a beautiful and pleasant hiking.
It is very important to be aware of the weather conditions. If, any chance of precipitations or rain it is recommended to keep away from this adventure. Since the chances of flooding are very high and it can risk lives.
Zion National Park is located in Utah only 2,5 h from Las Vegas. It is very big and well structured. There are restaurants, many camping areas, free buses to travel along the park to it of the trail points, etc. In order to take this trail on my first time, I decided to rent the special clothes and accessories, which included Waterproof overall, boots, socks and a stick, all for only $50 dollars. It was a great idea, I was warm and dry during this trail inside of the river.
I highly recommend this experience, but make sure you go prepared with food, water and time to enjoy the best of nature.

Lost

Well, I have been trying to share some photos from my favorite places/hiking adventures, but I still have a lot to learn on how to use, customize, upload and edit a blog.
Hopefully, I will be able to figure it out after some "playing" time with all of these setting options.

I confess this year I haven't got a chance to do any hiking yet, due to school works. Maybe this weekend I will get a chance to explore some new place, or at least see the snow before it is all melted.

I can't wait to immerse into the nature again.

New Look

This is a challenging class, the computer literacy is more than learning computer skills, but learning communication skills.

I got inspired by this challenge of a blog building to express a little about my passions and believes - Nature, Adventure and Action.

During this semester I will try to share my adventures on hiking and travels all long the way.

I am excited to this new experience.
